Lviv is preparing for the 12th International Economic Forum
Strategy, Investments, Cooperation is the theme of the 2012 forum. The Day was told by Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv Regional Council and Lviv City Council who are co-organizing the event in cooperation with the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce that the forum’s participants would discuss the current economic policies and prospects for cross-border cooperation in Eastern Europe, analyze the current challenges and present management solutions that allow their users to be efficient and globally competitive. During the plenary session and four thematic workshops, the participants will also consider the issues of investment and innovation in the field of energy efficiency and resource conservation, support for initiatives in energy efficiency and energy conservation in the context of the UN Development Program’s operation in Ukraine, cross-border cooperation between Ukraine, Poland and other EU countries, problems and prospects of agribusiness in Ukraine.
The forum will be opened with Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Social Policy Serhii Tihipko’s speech. The participants will include former Latvian President Guntis Ulmanis, Deputy Minister of Economy of Poland Andrzej Dycha, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk, His Grace the Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University Borys Gudziak, President of the American-Ukrainian Business Council Morgan Williams, Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Ukraine Alexander Markus, Business Development Manager SAP (CIS Countries) Olga Petrusenko, member of the Thuringian landtag Egon Primas, President of SMI Communication Joachim Metter, and President of Europe-North-East Society Jacek Piechota.
The 12th International Economic Forum “Strategy, Investments, Cooperation” will be held on October 12, 2012 in the media center and the conference hall of the Arena Lviv stadium. The Day will cover the event in the upcoming issues.
