“Goodness and truth will prevail”

A hundred of the best works by pupils of art schools and clubs throughout Lviv region has gone on display at Lviv Palace of Arts. All of them are dedicated to Heavenly Sotnia and depict the revolutionary events of 2014. Liubomyr Medvid, academician and People’s Artist of Ukraine, who participated in the works’ selection for the exhibition, reflected on children’s maturity in their understanding of time: “Each painting reveals a hidden message of its author, asserting that the goodness and the truth will prevail.” It is important, the academician says, that Revolution of Dignity left no one untouched, because even kids were able to fully understand the value of freedom and Ukraine’s independence. In conclusion, Medvid noted that selecting the best artwork was a tough task: “All the children had done a very good job. Every author presented here has a bright future in Ukrainian art scene.” “Maidan through children’s eyes” is open until the end of February.
