March 10: 1919. Ukraine and Poland signed an armistice.

1990. In Warsaw, a congress of the Ukrainian Socio-Cultural Society of Poland resolved to rename the organization as Association of Ukrainians in Poland.

March 11: 1995. Ukraine’s first certificate auction was held in Kyiv.

1997. The presidents of Ukraine and Moldova signed in Chisinau a declaration on the establishment of a customs union.

March 12: 1923. The Ukrainian SSR’s Council of Ministers sent a note of protest to the governments of Britain, Italy, and France over the annexation of Eastern Halychyna.

1992. Ukraine and Cuba established diplomatic relations.

March 13: 1944. As a result of the Breznehuvato-Snihur operation, the Red Army’s 3rd Ukrainian Front troops liberated Kherson.

1997. Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus signed a treaty on founding a banking consortium.

March 14: 1874. A one-day census was conducted in Kyiv.

1923. By decision of the Council of Ambassadors, Halychyna was declared part of Poland.

March 15: 1919. The All-Ukrainian Council of Arts resolved to nationalize Kyiv’s theaters.

1939. The Soym (parliament) of Carpathian Ukraine proclaimed an independent republic with a presidential form of government. The session declared Ukrainian as the official language, the trident as the state emblem, Ukraine Is Still Living as the national anthem, and the yellow- blue bicolor as the national flag.
