The Day covered the Pikkardians’ previous tour of eastern and southern Ukraine as well. Let us recall that the late May tour of the vocal formation included concerts in Poltava, Sumy, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kryvy Rih, and Mykolaiv. The concert in Mariupol had to be cancelled at the last minute, because the organizers could not guarantee safety. Those performances by Tertsia were high-profile events, but quite a lot of people willing to listen to a cappella singing of the team were unable to do so. Therefore, Pikkardiiska Tertsia will soon go on a repeat tour. Most cities in eastern and southern Ukraine will welcome Tertsia for the second time this year, but the tour schedule has been supplemented by new cities as well. Pikkardiiska Tertsia concert program The Best will first come to Kharkiv on September 21 and Odesa on October 2, as the team’s PR manager told The Day. They will also perform in military hospitals for the wounded anti-terrorist operation soldiers on the days of concerts in Kharkiv and Odesa.

The most intense stage of the tour will be held from October 9 through 19, as the singers will give 11 concerts in as many days. They will sing in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Melitopol, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Nikopol, Kryvy Rih, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Sumy, and Kremenchuk.

“In all the cities which we toured in May, we met such a warm reception from the locals that we promised to come again soon when leaving them. We are making good on our promises,” artistic director of the vocal formation Pikkardiiska Tertsia Volodymyr Yakymets said. “We will bring our program The Best there. We did not have time to show all our work of 22 years at these concerts, so we will show something new this time. Ukrainian music and Ukrainian song were always in demand in the east and south of our country. It is another matter that Ukrainian music did not always reach these parts, while the Russian pop was promoted there. As one man told us in Luhansk, ‘they did it so that we do not start thinking...’ Another goal of our tour is providing moral support for Ukrainians who are doing so much for Ukraine as soldiers or forced migrants... Our concerts always show unity of the Ukrainian people, so we want our listeners to realize once more that Ukrainians are united, and only unity makes us strong.”
