US Military Studies Our Experts’ Experience

A US military delegation recently returned home from Kamyanets-Podilsky. The guests were studying the educational process in the Military Engineering Institute. “We have heard about your institute and we know that you train high class combat engineers. Thus, the goal of our visit is studying your experience in training experts,” commander of the California National Guard unit Col. Michael German said. Acting Rector of the Institute of Military Engineering Col. Oleh Khavroniuk believes that his colleague’s words were no exaggeration, “Having duly mastered military science, our graduates are applying their knowledge in South Lebanon, Iraq, and Sierra Leone.” Khavroniuk himself has recently come back from Sierra Leone. He foresees even more work to be done in the future: there are almost a billion mines on the territory of 89 countries to be cleared. At the institute’s mine clearing center the US guests have got a chance to see first-hand how the Ukrainians have mastered this “science of victory.” The visit may have a sequel: if necessary, the institute is prepared to train Americans as well, reports Mykhailo VASYLEVSKY, The Day.
