UKRAINIAN WOMEN AND CRIMEAN TATARS TO GET USA HELP. FINANCING OF FIRST MIGRATION PROJECTS WILL START IN MAY

Research conducted by the International Migration Organization has called forth various reactions in US official circles. The issue is the threatening scope of illegal migration from Ukraine, including the sale of women, leading the US government to offer hundreds of thousands of dollars on its own initiative to help solve all problems.

In May the US government is planning to give Ukraine a series of television programs on prevention of the sale of women. Moreover, they are also planning to give financial aid to foreign students who have graduated from institutions of higher education in Ukraine and now cannot return home.

The preparation work for the conference of countries granting loans to help the Crimean Tatars is in full swing. The main question to be discussed on this conference is what projects (social, economic, and informational) will be carried out first. According to Julia Taft, chief of the migration section of the US State Department, the United States will continue to provide economic assistance to Ukraine.
