For example, the world-famous Jiri Suhajek, Valeria Florescano, Fidail Ibragimov, Boris Fedorov, and Remigijus Kriukas. Bokotei also told that the Academy is happy to welcome the first classic of glass blowing Edward Leibovitz from Belgium. “He is an artist of a very high level,” said Bokotei and added: “Textbook art figures are coming to Lviv and I am very happy that our students will be able to see the work of artist of such high class at the furnaces.”

The final event of the Symposium will be the exhibition at theAndrii Sheptytsky National Museum on Svobody Avenue, 20, where the newly made works of glass art will be presented. Following the tradition, every artist that participates in Lviv Symposium presents one of his works to the city to replenish the funds of the Museum of Glass, located in Bandinelli Palace. The collection of the museum now consists of more than 350 unique exhibits. By the way, you can see the museum exposition on The Day’s web site “Ukraine Incognita” (incognita.day.kiev.ua).

Masters of blown glass produce art glass by special technology, manually, directly at the glass furnace while the glass is hot. The historical roots of the art glass reach the 3rd and 4th century BC.
