Over 100,000 people gather in Venezuela’s capital Caracas to support the opposition candidate Henrique Capriles in the upcoming presidential elections. The leader of the opposition party “Justice First” criticizes President Hugo Chavez for the long list of unfulfilled promises. Capriles demanded to investigate the murder of three opposition activists, who were killed during last Saturday’s rally in Barinas State. Capriles called the meeting in Caracas the largest gathering of opposition supporters over entire history of the country. “To our horror, our three men were killed on the eve. Unknown persons on a van opened fire at the three activists who came to the meeting on a car.” Venezuela’s minister of justice stated that the person suspected of these murders had been arrested. In the meanwhile, President Hugo Chavez’s speeches gather thousands of supporters. He promises to enhance socialism in Venezuela if he is elected president for another six years. According to Chavez, he cannot imagine losing in the race. Chavez has been in power since 1999. Over 30 opposition parties have supported Capriles as a single opposition candidate to run against the leftist president of the country.”
