On April 1, at the Pechersk district court opened a closed-door hearing Judge Andriy Melnyk extended the pretrial detention term of former Ukrayina Bank Chairman of the Board Petro Mikhieyev as demanded by a Prosecutor General’s Office investigator. Under the court ruling the accused who was arrested in early April in his hospital ward under the cover of a medical checkup, will remain in a Lukyanivka pretrial detention cell until June 5.
