The pictures exhibited at the Lviv Palace of Arts, have been brought by Vitalina Maslova, founder and chairman of the “Creative kryivka” charity fund – an artist, a teacher of fine arts, creative organizer of the rehabilitation programs for soldiers who were discharged from hospitals after injuries, amputations, contusions, or for fighters who have gone through severe fighting. “Most of the works presented at the exhibition are based on the therapeutic exercises that are conducted with the soldiers by the art therapists,” says Maslova. “The guys paint the war and the area surrounding it, they also create non-figurative art, free color compositions.” There are a total of 98 works open to the audience. Overall, 129 ATO fighters took part in fifteen art rehabilitation trips, ranging from 19 to 55 years old. Citizens of Lviv will have the opportunity to assess the artistic ability of the warriors through August 9. During the project there will be a donation effort for further creative rehabilitation programs for the military. Also, the organizers will hold a so-called silent auction. According to Maslova, “the paintings sold on the quiet auction will also help raising funds for additional rehabilitation work.”
