Kind Muse

A new exhibition opened at the Obolon Children’s Academy of the Arts called Muse of Kindness, Enter Our Souls! Young artist Hanna Sokolova combined her own works with paintings of her 24 pupils, students of Children’s Arts School No. 7.

Perhaps the defining trait of Hanna Sokolova’s nature is her creative openness, readiness to traverse any road, the more so that, in her opinion, there are no uninteresting pathways in art. Hanna is a painter, graphics artist, photo artist, and sculptor (though there was no room for this aspect of her work at the current exhibition). She creates portraits, landscapes, still lifes, textile patterns, and posters (for instance, for a cat show). Traditional techniques (canvas, oil, xylography) stand side by side with many of her own original techniques like watercolor pencils. However, a great number of obvious experiments and, incidentally, orders do not prevent the young artist from holding to her own line in the arts with confidence, gradually shaping her original and unique artistic signature.
