June 14, 1994. An Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation was signed in Luxembourg between Ukraine and the European Community.

1997. A new all-Ukrainian trade union organization, the Association of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine, was founded.

June 15, 1775. The Zaporozhzhian Sich was destroyed by the Russian Army.

1918. The first issue of the Komunist [Communist] weekly, organ of the organizing bureau for convoking yet another “First” Congress of Bolshevik Organizations of Ukraine, was published in Moscow.

June 16, 1934. The First Writers’ Congress of Ukraine began, creating the Writers’ Union of Ukraine.

1982. The two-millionth tractor was assembled at the Kharkiv Tractor Factory.

June 17, 1944. The Central Committee of the Communist Party (bolshevik) of Ukraine passed a decision On Assisting the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in Organizing the Partisan Movement in Czechoslovak Territory.

1993. An agreement and a communique were signed on urgently forming navy forces of Russia and Ukraine on the base of Black Sea Navy in the proportion of 50:50.

June 18, 1939. The Taras Shevchenko Memorial Museum and a new monument at the poet’s grave were opened in Kaniv.

1996. Ukraine joined the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.

June 19, 1993. A congress of the Communist Party of Ukraine in Donetsk made a statement on renewing the party’s activities.

1996. The presidents of Ukraine and Kazakhstan signed a treaty On Friendship and Cooperation between both countries.

June 20, 1918. The All-Ukrainian Church Council began work in Kyiv.

1919. The UNR military delegation headed by Gen. Delvig signed a temporary treaty in Lviv on cessation of hostilities and establishing a line of demarcation (so-called Delvih line) between the belligerents).
